Why Trust Elephant Playing Cards? (Are we a real company?)

We get it - buying things on the internet can feel a bit risky sometimes. But rest assured, we are very real. Take a look at this: - We ship over 100,000 decks a year. - We have run (and successfully fulfilled) over a dozen Kickstarter campaigns including the first Alpha & Omega campaign. - We have over 14,000 REAL customer reviews (people who have received their deck and left their thoughts). - We wholesale our decks to some of the largest magic and card distributors in the world, including Murphey’s (USA) and DiFatta (Europe) - We provide you with email updates and live tracking links for your orders so you know where they are. We stand by our product, we put your experience above profit, and we have been doing this for years. We’re not going anywhere, and we will make sure you get what you pay for. And if that isn’t enough, you can always send us an email. We promise it will be a real person who responds.

Will Alpha & Omega cards be a quality product?

Short answer: we wouldn’t sell it if it wasn’t. But seriously, we are in the business of making something that you can use for years, not days. We have worked with almost ALL the top manufacturers in the world and we know what goes into making a quality deck of cards. This cards in this project will be printed by United States Playing Card Company (USPCC) - one of the top playing card manufacturers in the world. The boxes will be printed by Gambler’s Warehouse - another significant company in the playing card space who will also be fulfilling the orders. We don’t make phony promises, we don’t do cash-grabbing markups, we don’t do hype launches with fake scarcity. We make genuine, quality, affordable products that people can use, share and show off.

Why didn't you include XXX person / event?

We included as many of the most significant people and events as we could while keeping the deck useable. If we filled all the number cards with people it would be too hard to actually use!

Are playing cards sinful?

Playing cards of themselves are not sinful in the same way that money, speech or possessions are not sinful in and of themselves. We created these cards for the good purpose of bringing people together through fun card games while also reflecting on the Biblical characters and stories. However, just like any tool, when playing cards are used for sinful purposes then they turn from an asset in our lives to a stumbling block. Just as money can lead to idolatry, speech to slander and gossip, and possessions to covetousness; playing cards can lead to sin through how they are used. Our experience with playing cards (and that of countless of our customers) has been positive. However, if playing cards could tempt you to sin through gambling, idolatry, divination or anything else, then simply don’t get any. We want to provide a valuable resource for Christians, collectors and players, but we do not want to profit off anything that will cause a stumbling block for anyone. If this is an area of conflict for you, then we suggest applying 1 Corinthians 10:23 and contacting us if you would like further comment. Again, if playing cards could violate your conscience or cause you to sin, we would rather you stayed away, kept your money and give no place to temptation (Ephesians 4:27).

Are these cheapening or trivializing the Bible?

We don’t believe so. Our intention for the Alpha & Omega cards is not to have them replace Bible Study, fellowship or worship, but rather to supplement your faith in the day-to-day. Playing card games is something fun to do with friends and family, and these cards provide a prompt to further discussion; a point of reflection to the stories each character represents; or even a reminder of the Biblical lessons from the scenes. There is no replacement to the Bible itself, and like stained glass windows in churches showing Biblical scenes to help visual learners, these cards are there to support and reinforce, not detract or replace. It is an attempt at helping keep our faith more present in our lives in a fun and accessible way that can be shared with anyone. Indeed, you may be able to open a conversation with someone who would never pick up a Bible simply through a casual game with these cards.

What is Kickstarter?

Kickstarter is a launchpad for creators to raise funds for the initial production of their invention. Backers (that’s you!) can support the creator by pre-ordering the product at a discounted price.

What does it mean to back a project (pledge)?

When you back a project, you’re pre-ordering the product. That means you’ll get it once it’s produced. Besides getting the product itself, you’re also joining a community. Follow along the production process, take part in important surveys and give the creator valuable feedback.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
